Project Overview
The Multicenter Echo Teaching Series (METS) is an esteemed educational initiative connecting leading academic hospital faculties with cardiovascular fellows and sonographers across institutions. With regular live webinar sessions covering complex echocardiography cases, strain imaging, congenital anomalies, and valve interventions, METS required a reliable, clear, and high-trust digital presence.
Healthcare professionals access the portal on the go between rounds, operating theatres, and clinical duties. The design therefore demanded clear typography, instant access to upcoming webinar Zoom links, accessible calendar listings, and an organized archive of recorded case reviews.
Project Purpose & Educational Goals
Medical websites require unmatched credibility, legibility, and effortless navigation. The project aimed to solve several key hurdles for the medical faculty:
- Centralized Lecture Hub: Consolidate multi-institutional teaching calendars into a single, clean schedule updated weekly.
- Streamlined Access to CME: Provide direct registration links and access paths for cardiology fellows seeking continuing medical education credits.
- Institutional Trust & Authority: Present distinguished medical faculty, guest lecturers, and committee members with clean biographical layouts.
- Mobile Utility: Guarantee high-contrast, clutter-free reading on smartphones used by doctors in hospital settings.
Key Verified Features
Organized chronological schedule displaying lecture dates, guest speakers, academic affiliations, and direct webinar connection links.
Academic profile cards detailing credentials, hospital department affiliations, and clinical research specializations.
Categorized video embedding structure supporting recorded clinical cases, ultrasound loops, and interactive Q&A sessions.
Strict contrast ratios complying with WCAG guidelines to guarantee effortless reading in clinical environments.
Development Contribution & Technical Execution
My engagement focused on transforming a complex, multi-centre academic agenda into an intuitive, accessible web platform:
1. Information Architecture for Medical Schedules: Designed a structured layout hierarchy prioritizing today's and upcoming sessions at the top, followed by historical archives, making it effortless for fellows to join sessions in seconds.
2. Responsive & Lightweight Engineering: Stripped redundant scripts to ensure rapid load times even on spotty hospital Wi-Fi networks. Clean CSS guarantees that tables and schedule cards scale flawlessly on mobile viewports.
3. High-Integrity Visual Presentation: Crafted a clean, medical-grade color palette with deep navy accents and crisp white surfaces, instilling academic trust and organizational prestige.
